Born in San Francisco, raised in Redlands, California, Rameses Vargas began training as an amateur at the age of 16. At 18, he competed at the SSB National Championship. He ended his amateur career after only 15 fights.

Rameses made his professional boxing debut on August 6, 2021 winning in a four-round decision. Since then, Rameses has been actively fighting to improve his boxing career. Now, he has fought four fights with three victories and one loss. These early fights have not gone without trials. Rameses was knocked down in the first round of his Professional Debut. But later, knocked down his opponent and won by unanimous decision.

Rameses is now based in Orange County, California. He trains in OC BOXING under the wing of Jesse Ochoa, sticking to the old school fundamentals of boxing. Training camp consists of early runs, strength and conditioning, sparring, bag/mitt work, accumulating thousands of repetitions on a daily basis. Rameses continues to push his physical body and mental capability to extremes. 

“I like all sports, but I love boxing. Carrying out the lifestyle of discipline. I know that succeeding is not easy. That is why my preparation is from sunrise to sunset. I am laying the foundations of my career with a lot of effort and sacrifice. My sleep, diet, exercises, and my mentality are important to achieve my goals of becoming Champion and making history..”

He comes from a big family of eight. Consisting of three sisters, two brothers, and his Mother and Father. Growing up in a family-oriented home, Rameses’ life has changed drastically in order to pursue his dreams, up to the point of having to stay behind while his family relocated across the country.  For Rameses, this has been a big sacrifice as  family is very important to him. Being a strong believer in himself, Rameses knows that his hardships come with a destiny.

Rameses is a member of The Light of the World Church. He finds great inspiration in the teachings of the Apostle of Jesus Christ, Naason Joaquin Garcia. Being a strong believer, this has motivated him to chase greatness with no limits. 

To Rameses everything he loves and does is deeply embedded in his roots. Rameses has always had a profound connection with Mother Nature. He finds it beneficial to his spirit to roam deep in the mountains and forests, just like his primitive ancestors did. Rameses also found love and joy through music, uplifting everyone around him with the touch of the guitar. 

Inside and outside of the boxing ring, Rameses vision stays the same: to inspire people. Coming from low resources, Rameses is on a mission to prove to the world that it can be done. Manifesting that we are not victims of our circumstances.. but creators of circumstance.
